Dear ETT Members,
Two weeks ago, the TDSB unjustly fired 2 Teachers at Bowmore. On Thursday, January 29th, 8 more Teachers were suspended without pay.
This action is unprecedented.
The Board has significantly disrupted the learning of hundreds of students; and these beloved Teachers want nothing more than to get back to their classrooms and teach their students.
Your Union will be vigorously defending your colleagues through the grievance/arbitration process.
Our collective response needs to be immediate and clear.
What happened at Bowmore could happen to any of us.
Under Provincial takeover, decisions from Supervisor Gupta have been increasingly disastrous for you and your students alike.
You’ve seen increased class sizes, cuts to special education supports, zero transparency in decision-making, and an increasingly obvious escalation in punitive attacks against you and your colleagues, the very staff who make this system work.
Enough is enough. An injury to one is an injury to all.
On Tuesday, February 3rd, demonstrate your support and solidarity for your colleagues, and for the schools our students deserve.

We’ll rally together to demand justice for our colleagues, respect for our voices, and the schools our students deserve!
