ETT Stewards, in June, the provincial Government got rid of all 22 elected TDSB Trustees. In their place, they appointed 1 Supervisor with no previous public education experience. This matters to you, your colleagues, and your students.
When the Ford Government returns to Queen’s Park on October 20th, they plan to finish the job they started in a few Boards, by forcing Bill 33 through as quickly as possible. Bill 33 allows this government to take over any School Board in the province for any reason, and force police instead of more Teachers, SNA’s, EA’s, CYW’s into our schools.
We can’t let them do this to our students and schools. Now is the time to act. On Monday, October 20th, lets send the strongest, most visible message possible: Repeal Bill 33. FUND OUR SCHOOLS NOW.
