Marie Clarke-Walker – ETT Anti-Racism Conference 2025 Presenter

Topic: C190, or the ILO Violence and Harassment Convention

Description: C190, or the ILO Violence and Harassment Convention, 2019, is the first international treaty to address violence and harassment in the world of work. It reflects a paradigm shift in labor policy by explicitly recognizing

  •   Violence and harassment as violations of workers’ rights.
  •   The broader socio-economic impact of harassment, including health, dignity, and productivity.
  •   That violence is a workplace issue irrespective of where it occurs (e.g., the office, commuting, or even virtual workspaces).

Will go over what the Convention is and the responsibility of unions, employers and governments in its implementation.
