Join the ETT Focus Group: Exploring the Impact of Violence Against Public School Teachers in Toronto

Are you an Elementary Teachers of Toronto (ETT) member? Have you experienced violence and/or harassment at work? We invite you to participate in an arts-based focus group: Exploring the Impact of Violence Against Public School Teachers in Toronto.

Purpose of the Study: We are exploring the ways elementary teachers experience and address violent incidents directed against them while at work.

Recruits: We would like to meet with current Elementary Teachers of Toronto (ETT) members who have been subjugated to violence and/or harassment at work within the past two years.

Your Commitment: We invite you to participate in a 3.5-hour long arts-based focus group. At the session, you will use visual arts (collaging) and oral discussion to share your experiences with violence against teachers.

Registration Closes August 14, 2024. Registration does not equal confirmation.

NOTE: While we encourage anyone who is interested to apply, only 15 individuals will be selected to take part in the focus group. Confirmed participants will be contacted directly by the researcher on August 15, 2024. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please indicate any dietary considerations in your email registration.

Location & Date:

• Date: Tuesday, August 20, 2024
