Join us for the ETT Anti-Racism Conference 2025, a powerful gathering of educators, activists, and community leaders committed to dismantling anti-Black racism and fostering truly inclusive learning environments.

This year’s conference will feature thought-provoking keynotes, dynamic workshops, and in-depth discussions that equip participants with practical strategies to challenge systemic racism, engage in meaningful anti-racist education, and create safe and affirming spaces for all students.

🔥 What to Expect:

✅ Keynote Speaker: Tim Wise

We are thrilled to welcome Tim Wise, one of the most prominent anti-racism educators and authors in North America. Wise has spent decades exposing the roots of systemic racism, white privilege, and inequality, delivering compelling, evidence-based strategies for dismantling oppression. His keynote will focus on the realities of anti-Black racism in education, the dangers of performative equity, and the urgent need for action-driven change in schools and society.

✅ 10 Interactive Workshops

We are curating an exciting lineup of workshops, including:

  • C-190 and the Labour Movement – Understanding the International Labour Organization’s landmark convention against violence and harassment at work.
  • Black Curriculum & Historical Erasure – With historian Natasha Henry, addressing the gaps in Black history education.
  • Sports & Anti-Black Racism – Examining the intersection of race and athletics.
  • Human Rights, Policing & Incarceration – With Ron Franklin, focusing on the criminalization of Black communities and its impact on education.
  • Parent Engagement & Community Organizing – Led by Michelle Monroe, strategies for empowering families in racial justice advocacy.
  • Workplace Discrimination & Equity Rights – Exploring systemic barriers Black educators face and legal protections available.

🌍 A Conference Rooted in Black Liberation

This conference was originally scheduled as a Black History Month event, but due to logistical shifts, it is now happening in April. However, its core remains deeply rooted in the ongoing struggle for Black liberation and the fight against anti-Black racism in education and beyond.
