The TDSB is expecting a deficit of more than $70 million for the 2025-26 school year. This is both an extraordinary amount of money, and frustratingly ordinary: you’ve been feeling the cuts to Public Education for years.
As the experts creating the schools we all deserve, your voice is crucial as the TDSB decides what, and who, to cut next year.
Have your voice heard this month. On April 29th, the Finance, Budget, and Enrolment Committee (FBEC) is holding a special meeting for people to speak directly to trustees and highlight your concerns and offer your priorities for the TDSB’s budget. We’re looking for ETT Members who want to join parents, teachers, and students from across the city to give a delegation to FBEC and tell the trustees what’s really happening in our schools.
