April 11: Join us for Songs of Resistance with the ETT Choir

Every day across Toronto, elementary teachers show up for their students. We teach, we mentor, we care for children, and we hold together classrooms that are often
stretched far beyond what they should be. But sometimes teachers raise their voices in another way. Through music.

The Elementary Teachers of Toronto Choir is joining the Common Thread Community Chorus for a powerful evening of music, storytelling, and solidarity called Songs of Resistance.
This special concert will feature selections from Common Thread’s repertoire alongside a set of original songs written by Toronto teachers, titled Voices from the Frontlines.
These songs were created by educators reflecting on the real experiences inside our schools — the challenges, the resilience, the humor, and the deep commitment teachers bring to their students every single day. This is more than a concert. It is a celebration of the creativity, courage, and collective spirit of educators.
