Pride Month: Dyke March

On Saturday, June 25, 2022, join the ETT Status of Women Committee, CUPE 4400 and OSSTF for Pride Toronto’s annual Dyke March.

Beginning as a grassroots march, this event is celebrating all things Dyke and Lesbian! This event contains four distinct parts—a rally, a march, a community fair, and an after-party! The rally is the hour before the march and features speakers and performers who are going to be getting the marchers prepared! The march follows its usual route—North on Church, West on Bloor, south on Yonge, East of Carlton, to Allen Gardens. The after-party features performances and DJs who align with the theme of the event and will create an enjoyable and entertaining space for everyone!

Anyone and everyone are welcome to join. While this event is specifically for Dykes and Lesbians, allies are welcome. When marching and rallying we do ask that allies leave space for folks who identify as Dykes and Lesbians to celebrate at the front!

Before the march, members are invited to join us at Firkin on Yonge (207 Yonge St., Toronto, ON  M5B 2H1 ) for appetizers to celebrate our diversity at 11 a.m.

The rally starts at 1:00 p.m. and the march officially starts at 2:00 p.m. ETT members are asked to meet with the other education workers around Church and Charles by 1:45 p.m.
