June 20: Building and Moving in Community: A Pan-Asian Solidarity Gathering

You’re invited to a lunch gathering rooted in the values of care, equity and collective responsibility, an intentional space for diverse Asian identities to come together in community. This is about building relationships that are meaningful, reciprocal, and sustained. Through shared reflection, community dialogue, and collective presence, this gathering aims to empower our community to counter racism and exclusion while practicing ways of being together that center belonging, care, and solidarity.

EVENT DETAILS:

  • Date: Saturday, June 20, at 11AM – 2PM
  • Address: ETT Office Building; Parkinson Room (4211 Yonge St, Third Floor, North York, ON M2P 2A9)

A shared meal is a central part of the experience, supporting informal connection, storytelling, and relational grounding throughout the gathering. Participants will hear from Asian educators and community leaders who are actively organizing and advocating to address systemic inequities impacting diverse Asian communities (including South Asian, Southeast Asian, West Asian, Central Asian, and East Asian identities), particularly in education. The gathering is designed to bridge reflection and action, offering grounded examples of community-led work while also creating space for connection and relationship building.
