Curious about starting a Rainbow Club or Gay Straight Alliance (GSA), but unsure where to begin—or how to navigate the questions that can come with it? This session is designed to support educators at any stage, whether you’re just exploring the idea or looking to strengthen an existing club.

- Time: Registration, light meal and beverage: 4:30 pm.
- Workshop: 5 pm to 6 pm
- Deadline to register: February 20, 2026. Register soon as space is limited
- How to get there:
- TTC: Subway to Bloor walk down Yonge St. 3 blocks south to Isabella St turn left to 34 Isabella.
- Drive: Green P Parking lot at Charles St East. Then walk south to 34 Isabella St.
- Parking, TTC, childcare expenses will be reimbursed by ETT. Forms will be available at the workshop.
The 2SLGBTQIA+ Committee is inviting you to join us in a relaxed, supportive environment where we’ll focus on practical, policy-aligned approaches to creating safer, more inclusive school communities.
Topics will include:
- How to promote your club in ways that are inclusive, age-appropriate, and aligned with Board expectations
- Low-prep activities and meeting ideas that build trust and belonging
- Conversation starters for navigating student questions and classroom realities
- Union-supported resources and swag available for you
- Chance to network and support each other
- Exploring possible funding available to support the work from ETT/ETFO
This session is especially suited for educators who may feel hesitant, new, or unsure—and want clear, respectful guidance grounded in equity, professionalism, and care for student wellbeing.
