Family hiking days

Date: March 26, 2023

Meeting spot: Meet up in the parking lot between 1:45 p.m.–2:00 p.m. | Group will leave promptly at 2:00 p.m.

*NO VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED INTO HIGH PARK DURING THE PEAK BLOOM
As was started in 2019, High Park will once again be closed to all vehicle traffic during the peak bloom. The city will announce ahead of time when the closure to cars and other vehicles will begin and end. During this time, parking will only be available on streets outside of the park or nearby. Other means of travel to the park are recommended such as walking, biking, TTC or using third-party ride drop off services.

TTC Wheel-Trans and City Staff will be the only vehicles allowed to enter the park and will be escorted to a parking location. All other vehicles will not be permitted to enter the park during the peak bloom – no exceptions.

 


Family skating days

Where: Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto (Located at 100 Queen Street West, easily accessed by the TTC Queen street car (501). | Or the Yonge Line subway (exit Queen station) | Or the University line (exit Osgoode Station).)

Skate and equipment rentals at Nathan Phillips Square

Please note skate and equipment rentals and sharpening are ONLY available at the Nathan Phillips Square location.

  • Skate sharpening hours Monday–Friday 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
  • Skate rentals need to be returned by 9:45 p.m.
  • Children 12 and under: $10.00
  • Adults: $15.00
  • Skate Sharpening: $10.00
  • Helmets: $5.00
  • Hats and Mitts: $5.00
  • Prices are based on a 2 hour rental.
  • Deposit: They accept a valid drivers license, passport, Health Card or any government issued ID with a picture. Sorry they do not accept Student IDs.
