Mind Full to Mindful: Mindfulness for Educators

June 8, 2021 @ 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Virtual Event

Registration for this event is now closed.

ETFO members will build their knowledge, understanding and practice of mindfulness in this workshop. We will consider ways that mindfulness practice can help establish and maintain supportive professional and personal relationships with colleagues, parents and students. Mindfulness is the practice of purposefully being present in the moment with an open curiosity, non-judgemental attitude, and acceptance of whatever arises during the experience. Educators trained in mindfulness have been found to have increased emotional awareness, empathy, and compassion: thereby supporting the development of healthy and positive relationships. This workshop will provide strategies for educators to increase their capacity to become more mindful in their daily personal and professional lives through activities that are accessible and easily transferred to the classroom.

  • Registration will close on Monday, May 10th at 4:00 p.m.
