Join the ETT Anti-Racism, Equity, and Social Justice Committee on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the Holiday Inn - Yorkdale for the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination Dinner.
Bring your dancing shoes. Come ready to celebrate and have fun!
In addition to fine dining, entertainment, dancing, and the presentation of the Doris Ferguson Memorial Award for TDSB students, the evening will also feature a keynote address from Mariam Abou-Dib, Political Assistant to the President of the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) and noted feminist, labour, and peace activist.
Registration closes on Thursday, March 19, 2020, 4:00 p.m. There are no cancellations. No-shows will be charged the full fee.
There will be no prearranged seating.
This year's menu will be served buffet-style, and includes fish, chicken and beef, as well as vegetarian and vegan options.
Mariam Abou-Dib is the Political Assistant to the President of the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) and has been active in the labour movement for over twenty years. Along with her political duties, Mariam also oversees the CLC work on Women’s and Human Rights, International Solidarity, Communications, and Dispute Resolutions.

The Holiday Inn Yorkdale is located west of Allen Road and Yorkdale Shopping Centre, and just south of Highway 401. Free parking is available on site. The parking lot is accessible via Bridgeland Avenue, to the north of the hotel (the first left after the underpass). Please be advised that Yorkdale Road turns into Bridgeland Avenue west of Dufferin Street. The parking lot can also be accessed traveling north or south on Dufferin Street via the Honda Dealership at the lights.

The closest TTC subway station is Yorkdale. Exit the station and walk west through the mall to Dufferin Street. The Holiday Inn Yorkdale is on the west side of Dufferin Street, just south of Highway 401.
