Local Collective Agreement

Last night, Toronto District School Board (TDSB) Trustees voted to ratify our tentative local agreement. We are pleased to report that we now have an enforceable Local Collective Agreement in place for our 11,000 members.

Available now:

  • The two Personal Days have been implemented and are effective immediately through the normal process of applying for Miscellaneous Leave.

Next steps:

  • The central agreement ensures that salary elements are paid to members within 90 days of local ratification (grid retroactive payment and 1% lump sum). The TDSB advises us they are working towards a March 10 payment for both.
  • We continue to have discussions with senior Board staff about the process that will be used to provide access to Early Gratuity payments for members who choose to apply by June 30, 2016. We will advise you as more information becomes available.

ETT will be meeting with TDSB staff in early March to begin the process of blending the central and local agreements into one Collective Agreement document that will be printed by the Board.
