ETT President John Smith Announces Retirement
It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing my retirement at the end of June 2017.
I would like to thank everyone for all the support I have received over the past 18 years. It has been an honour and a privilege to serve the ETT membership, the dedicated teachers of this city, first as an Executive Officer and then as President.
In the transition after June 30, 2017, Vice President Andy Lomnicki will assume the role of President until a by-election takes place.
I know you will work with Andy and the ETT Executive to continue the work we have begun and the gains we have made through our mobilization, organization, and grassroots campaigns.
